About our Pastor
Pastor Sherry Lucas is a graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School (1974) and Atlantic Christian College (now known as Barton College) with a degree in Mathematics. After completing her degree, she taught high school mathematics at Beddingfield High School for twenty-eight years. Most recently, Pastor Lucas returned to school at Liberty Univerisity in Virginia and completed her Master of Divinity degree (2020).
Pastor Lucas has continued to work with youth after retirement, and seeing a need within her community, she and her late husband (and our former Pastor), Bishop Thomas Lucas, founded Integrity Unlimited CDC. The nonprofit was established in 2009 and began offering a youth academic enrichment program that empowered students during the school year and over the summer break. The success of the non-profit has produced an academic enrichment program for school-aged children, a community playground built in 2014, outdoor exercise equipment added in 2018, and community gardens that continue to feed many families today.

Pastor Lucas began serving in the office of Lead Pastor in 2016 after the passing of her husband, Bishop Thomas Lucas, and has upheld the office with honor and integrity ever since.
Pastor Lucas currently serves as a county commissioner (District #2) and sits on many boards and committees across the county (e.g., Upper costal Plan Council of Governments Strategic Planning Council for Cooperative Extension at NC A&T).

Pastor Lucas believes her relationship with Jesus Christ has empowered and sustained her over the years.
